Energy Healing 4 Balance ~ Miriam Kligerman

Regular performance of self-awareness inventories serve several purposes. It allows you to develop a keen awareness of thoughts, feelings and sensations that are usually ignored. It develops skills such that you can identify what is 'off'when you are not feeling quite 'right' and combined with what you will learn in your sessions, you will be able to correct any imbalance in the moment.

For the purpose of any healing session work, a self-awareness inventory is the opportunity for you to get an accurate snapshot of how you are being and how you are feeling immediately before and after the session. This will be a hand written inventory which usually takes 10-20 minutes for most people.

Especially for those of us who 'can handle anything' and tend to dismiss how they are feeling on any level, I recommend using the 'pain' scale of 1 to 10 where 10 is very intensely uncomfortable and 1 is slightly annoying. Be sure to have numbers high enough before the session that you can tell that there is a difference.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Perform a deep scan of your physical body. Begin with standing still. Take a couple of deep breaths. Relax into your body. Start to move around a bit, slowly bending and twisting, feeling every movement. Notice your range of motion while bending forward, backwards and side to side. Notice range of motion of your arms and legs as you gently swing them. Check the ease and flexibility of all of your joints. Write down anywhere you feel aches/ pain/ stiffness/ discomfort. Notice how you are feeling in your head, your shoulders, your ease of breathing, your digestion, your internal organs. It's not necessarily about writing a medical history. It is about how you feel in the moment;
  • Perform a scan of your mental body. You may have noticed mind activity during the body scan. If so, record it. If not, now notice if you can associate a sensation in your body with a specifc thought and record that. Continue to scan your mind as it overlays your body. Note if your mind and thinking are calm, agitated, racing, however it is for you. Notice if you can associate a sensation in your body with a specifc thought and write that down to if it occurs for you;
  • Perform a scan of your emotional body. If there is a sensation in the body and also if there is a thought, there is an emotion - energy in motion. If you're able, revisit your body scan areas and note if there's an emotion and/or a thought behind the physical sensations you noted;
  • Perform a scan of your spiritual body. Note if you feel 'connected' or 'grounded' or 'centered' or 'in tune' or whatver, or not.

      • Sciatica - 4 - rt side, back hip area, runs down rt leg about once per day.
      • Lt knee - 8 - worked out too much, hurts on outside of knee
    • Emotional:
      • Head - 8 - when I put my attention on my headache and feel it, I know it's my anger at Joe for quiting his job and what it will mean to the family.
      • Overall - 5 - if exhaustion is an emotion, that's what I feel mostly.
      • Stomach - 3 - fear about my business and income and I always can feel it in my stomach
    • Mental:
      • Kind of mixed up the emotional/mental parts of the inventory - I really can't separate them.
      • Overall - 8 - I'm constantly thinking about everything in my life and I'm trying to keep juggling all the pieces and I just need to relax.
    • Spiritual:
      • What's that? No really, I know if I can get myself to slow down I can feel connected at about a 4 usually. But right now I'm probably an 8. I feel like I have the weight of the world on my shoulders.

    EXAMPLE TWO:

    • Physical:
      • Lower back - 4 - a little tight from too much stretching in my yoga class
      • Overall - 2 - I'm feeling pretty good with my new exercise program and eating right.
    • Emotional:
      • Frustration - 6 - I feel it mostly in my lungs/chest area.
      • Overall - 2 - mostly feeling pretty good.
    • Mental:
      • Challenged - 7 - I need to make some decisions about my relationship and I'm feeling a little crazed despite all the ways I'm taking care of myself and meditating, I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere with sorting things out.
      • Frenzied - 4 - I like being calm like in the middle of a meditation all day long, and I'm too busy with my life.
    • Spiritual:
      • Overall - 3 - I'm usually pretty connected, a little off cause of the mental/emotional stuff right now.
      • Hips - 5 - I usually feel pretty grounded, but I'm feeling a little bit of a disconnect with the earth and it feels like the energy is stagnant in my hips.

    The Advanced Self-Awareness Inventory is appropriate for people who can do a thorough Basic inventory and not find very much. During the initial sequence of Energy Balancing sessions, many clients will move from pain, emotional issues and overstimulated thinking to neutral. Compared with where they started either with Energy Balancing, or when they started their healing path, they're feeling 'great'. Performing this level of inventory while you are not yet generally at 'neutral' may be a bit depressing and is not recommended.

    Imagine if you will, that who you really ARE were to incarnate into a new body totally conscious, without limits, without the affect of society, of parents, of the stress of work. Imagine that in this new body your body moved freely at its perfect experience of flexibility, strength and mass. Listen to the silence of quiet thinking. Feel the living-in-the-moment freedom of free-flowing emotions.

    Imagine if you will, while in this totally conscious body, that you are filled with gentle loving feelings, that you look around and lovingly accept and embrace everything around you, that you think of others with clarity and openness.

    For this inventory, review your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects for how you are BEing NOW and review this new spectacular view of who you really ARE. Write any differences in your inventory.

    With each practice session, delve ever deeper into the subtleties of differentiation. In addition to feeling your knees physically, take a moment to truly sink in and feel how they feel. Feel the energy vortex between your knees. Feel the strength of the spin and its direction. Examine your relationships, looking for any residual thoughts, judgements or feelings.

    The Advanced Self-Awareness Inventory is the next step in moving your 'normal' to a new level of excellence. Have some fun with it!
